Thu, 3 December 2009 ![]() We've got big breaking news for our friends Kennedy Carpool this week, along with the usual string of voicemails, chaos and insanity. And amidst the fun our band of the week also brings a good positive approach to music. Noah's Band of the Week - Seen It All, a rock, post punk, and ska flavored group from the Buffalo area. A.R. Holland, J - Mac, and Jonny 5 join the show to enlighten us on their musical leanings and goals. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Allegany, NY, home to a gigantic controversy about the origin of their name, as well as Living My Last Day, Pollution, and Ray and Holly, who join the show, among others. The WOW Minute is distracted this week, but still confusing, while the stapp is extra Jackson itchy, and the painful awkwardness of an off guard interview sets in toward the end of the show. Thu, 19 November 2009 ![]() This week we have a special singer songwriter showcase with our guest Tim Sylvester, a folk/acoustic/emo solo performer from Youngstown, NY. Tim discusses his origins as a musician and plays a killer nine song set of his original material for us. Noah's Band of the Week - Tim Sylvester, for formality's sake, is technically our band of the week. But he's also more than that as we focus on his project for the whole show, except of course for... The Stapp Infection - Rod Stewart is being sued, Steven Tyler spirals downward, and Britney worships the Dark Lord. Wait...what? Britney worships the Dark Lord? Did Mr. History plot this week's winner? Happy Thanksgiving! Comments[0] |
Mon, 16 November 2009 ![]() It's a very special episode of Noah's Ark this week, as we are joined in studio by Ball Cheez Psychotics, our featured band this week. Ball Cheez went on after the interview to the Evening Star, where they rocked the house for the Rage on the Stage and won the semi-final round. Noah's Band of the Week - Ball Cheez Psychotics, a unique hard rock, punk bank from Corfu, NY. Ball Cheez not only talk of life and liberty, but also bless us with a live a cappella performance. We also mix in their entire winning performance at the Evening Star for a great sampling of one decidedly great local band. Mon, 16 November 2009 ![]() We always love breaking news and live press conferences on our show. This week our band of the week I.M.I. declares - mid-interview - that they have changed their name. Ladies and gentlemen... Noah's Band of the Week - Whiskey Reverb, a killer psychedelic rock band with a killer new name. We are joined by several band members to see what we have to look forward to from the project. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - West Seneca, NY, is just plain close enough that we wheel out the classics. Rick James, Snapcase, Jackdaw, Bitch and Animal, and of course, General Spade. It's a lot of great music and good times with the crew again this week, from the Weather to the somehow censored History, tune in to win. No seriously you win. Thu, 5 November 2009 ![]() You never know what you might hear on the Noah's Ark show. This week we are extremely happy to be joined by several amazing local musicians, including Jerritt and Tim from our band of the week, Gina la Diva, and Steve from the Beaumonts. All good folks with great tunes. Noah's Band of the Week - The Tim Herron Corporation, a folky jammy roots band completed with their signature AmeriBeat sound. Tim and Jerritt join the show to elaborate on AmeriBeat and discuss the direction of the corporation. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Irondequoit, NY, close to Rochester, was a plentiful stop indeed, with music from The Buddhahood, The Beaumonts, Kalibas, SpeakEasy, and of course Gina la Diva. It's a celebration of the music we love so much this week, along with the usual itchy Stapp Infection and insufferable Weather Report. The guys lose track of time and have a blast exploring and listening, so hopefully you will too. Sun, 1 November 2009 ![]() It's always pure chaotic fun with Kennedy Carpool in studio, as we are joined this week by John, Bill and Kyle. John explains his new longuage and we hear some killer new tunes freshly recorded. Noah's Band of the Week - Kennedy Carpool, a killer metal band based in Lockport and tearing apart WNY by the sinew as we speak. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Sherman, NY, home to drunken afternoon Amish basketball, the barn dance, the Heron, and good tunes. The Stapp is back infecting the nation, Mr. History delivers his usual agenda, and a guaranteed hilarious episode again with the guys from Kennedy Carpool. Thu, 22 October 2009 ![]() We used to like Mr. Caribbean. We thought he was the best. But as it turns out, he is just a giant douche. Tune in this week for the most awkward interview of all time, along with the usual chaos. Noah's Band of the Week - The Skiffle Minstrels, pure Buffalo skiffle, at its finest. Paul, aka Skeet Willie, joins the show to discuss the history of the movement and the many lives in this Western New York. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Holland, NY, and it's about time that we got around to it. Although, Mr. Caribbean does provide the weirdest interview/hang up ever. We're still not sure what happened. All this and much more this week with Carl, Portnoi, and the return of Mr. History here on the flagship show of the enterprise known as All WNY Radio. Thanks for listening. Thu, 1 October 2009 ![]() Never spit on a bouncer in Australia, ladies and gentlemen. Immediate jail time. That's just one of the lessons we learn this week, and of course then there's Trixie. Noah's Band of the Week - Queen City Station - a killer hard rock outfit from Buffalo known to make some great tunes. We sample several songs from the band's new album. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Elmira, NY, the third part of our epic trilogy. We learn about some notable past residents and sample Kung Fu Jesus, Sharpie Demarko, Warren Jeffrey Motter and more. All this and so much more of the usual insanity packed in with the Reverend, the WOW Minute, a movie review from Sling Blade Carl, and much more. Like Trixie, our favorite new character. Special thanks to Fuzzy Krinkle for bringin' it in, and Ziggy Portnoi for takin' it out. Listen for them in their usual live slots on All WNY Radio. Thu, 24 September 2009 ![]() This week we've got Jim Crean with us all night, together with the usual healthy dose of pure chaos and insanity. Good times are had by all, except those eaten by coyotes. Noah's Band of the Week - Jim Crean, a longtime rocker who loves Buffalo and the WNY music scene, as do we. He joins us and we discuss many different elements within that and his career. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Elmira, NY, the Return. That's right, this week we come back to learn of the big Elvira/Elmira split and sample Iron Core, Skipp Dawg, and many more. Stapp is horrible and very painful this week, with the news that the Mamas and the Papas founder John Phillips...well...you know. Yikes. The Reverend has the Weather, Thumb has the WOW Minute, and Dr. Phil drops in to plug some books. Thu, 17 September 2009 ![]() Rage on the Stage is nearly upon us, so we take it upon ourselves to sample one of the bands. Of course we discuss the Buffalo heartache of late, along with the orphans, squishy priests, rogue tank huggers, and supporting your local flag carrier. Noah's Band of the Week - If Paige Wins, an ambient but powerful rock band based in Buffalo, NY, and one of the competitors at Rage on the Stage. We talk with Lauren and Michelle about their origins and evolution. And being naked. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Elmira, formerly Newtown, as Mr. History explains in gory puss detail. We sample A Rebours, Skoober, and T-RE, along with Filth Chamber, from which we are joined by drummer Nick Rich, and finally Mario "Jig" Williams, who also joins the show to discuss the scene and his history. In Stapp, the winner is obvious as Kanye out douches everyone, the Reverend's got the Weather, Thumb's got the Warcraft itch, and Buddy and Smokey somehow hijack the show. Fri, 4 September 2009 ![]() Once in a great while, the planets align and the universe focuses enough energy down upon us that we come together for the Noah's Ark show. Or, that's every week at 6pm. One or the other. Noah's Band of the Week - Walri, a wacked out psychedelic funky indie band out of Rochester, team up with the locks and keys, trout and bass, and strings and things to blow our frickin' minds. The Stapp Infection - Brian Jones' death under investigation, Michael Jackson lives, Noel Gallagher quits, and we marvel at the untimely death of formerly pretty lucky dude DJ AM. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - It's Scottsville, NY, home to the black plague and death of ancient rituals. Something like that. Mr. History explains and we sample Seric, (god-rot), Parotia, and Thomas Whitman, songwriter. All this and much more this week with Reverend Falwell's Weather Report, a very special and brittle pick from Santiago that will definitely stick to the roof of your mouth, and Dr. Phil on lookout duty. First of all it's House Party time again this Sunday, the final bash of the year here at the lovely and palatial DrastiClone Studios. If Debbie shows up, watch out... Noah's Band of the Week - Bone Deep, a killer 80's style metal band playing this Friday at the Evening Star, and we'll be there. Rick Allen, front man and vocalist, joins the show to discuss the history of the bone. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Bliss, NY, according to Mr. History, hasn't seen much actual bliss. We attempt to contact some locals and sample Insomnia, Davey Acid, Navar, and more. The Stapp Infection - MJ ruled a homicide, Chris Brown finally sentenced, and more itching and burning in the worse of places. The Reverend gives us the weather, the hot keys are flying, and there's a smorgasbord of new music and sound aboard the show. Dig in! Thu, 20 August 2009 ![]() This is guaranteed to be the most out of hand, terminally insane episode of Noah's Ark ever. For starters, Noah melts down 7 or 8 times for no good reason, making little if any sense throughout the show as he rants about unseen demons and tramples all in his path. No one is spared the wrath, eventually resulting in Noah and Thumb trading punches to the face and AK 47 shots. Brutal. Noah's Band of the Week - There I Say Is Lightning. You call 'em. The Stapp Infection - All twitter, some of the time. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Desperation sets in near Avoca. It's cringeworthy, biting, hardcore, explicit, All WNY Radio...at its finest. We've got big news, and yes, ladies and gentlemen, the party boat is here. Big breaking news, to be exact. And lots of gameshow music. Noah's Band of the Week - Handsome Jack, an outstanding funky rock band from Buffalo with a huge sound and list of accolades. The Stapp Infection - Aerosmith had to cancel some dates, Jennifer Hudson had a kid, and we break out one of the statues. Feels like burning. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Norton Summit, NY, home to a dark festival of the night, as Mr. History explains, as well as some great tunes and some random rants in need of a serious laugh track. All this and more with the Reverend Jerry Falwell's weather report, a conversation with Norton Summit's Mackenzey Ayers, and Thumb and Noah, going completely unhinged in the best way possible. Thu, 30 July 2009 We're back and live after a summer recess and of course the ghosts are wreaking havoc in DrastiClone Studios. Noah, Thumb, and Rob Livid take a tour through the strange as usual this week, boundlessly jangling their brains in the bell brain janglers of the night. Noah's Band of the Week - Candella, a killer metal/alternative band with a smooth and refined finish. Lee Goodale, frontman, lead vocalist, and guitarist climbs aboard to discuss the rise of Candella and their formula. The Stapp Infection - MJ is still all over the news, but even his fading star can't outweigh the statue of Amy Winehouse. A few weeks without her makes us almost as sad looking, pale and strung out as she is. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Painted Post, NY, with an interesting history of some horrible truths behind the bloody post of entrails, is home to some great bands we enjoy and fear at the same time. Creepy. We've got all this and so much more with The Reverend giving us the fatalist weather, Thumb delivering the WOW Minute, and many other random and awkward encounters. Thu, 2 July 2009 This week we are all over MJ, with numerous flushings, along with the EXCLUSIVE interview with Tom from the Apologies detailing wha happen and of course, Richard Simmons' workout plan. Noah's Band of the Week - Wild Root String Band, a killer folky bluegrass band from Rochester, with a steaming pile of Great Big Taters for your sampling flavor loveliness. The Stapp Infection - Can there be any other way? It's all MJ baby. We haul out the dirty greasy statue and melt it down, Ark style, covering all horrific aspects of the man's legacy. Crazy Band from Crazy Towns - Blasdell, NY, home to Falling Into Place, Summur Reign Revolution, Type Relevant, and more melt your face good bands. Dig it. All this and more this week with our celebration of Canada Day, sendoff of Billy Mays, and of course, our introduction to the show of the Brain. Pure gold, ladies and gentlemen, pure gold. Tune in. Thu, 25 June 2009 Thumb is under the weather this week, but Tredd Lemon and Rob Livid make up for it by joining us in studio. Which doesn't stop us from calling Thumb to harass him. We also call and harass Jenny from the Apologies and Eli Lowry. Bootleg Blowout - We feature songs from Blues Traveler and Blue Oyster Cult, who recently passed through the area. The Stapp Infection - We'll get to MJ's flush next week, until then we mock the New Kids for making weak excuses, ban Chris Brown, hear some Wilco in memory of Jay Bennett, and more. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Axeville, NY. The name really says it all. We call Eli Lowry from Axeville, or maybe he's heard of Axeville...maybe he has a cousin from Axeville? Mr. History picked this town. All that and more this week on the show. Dig in. Thu, 18 June 2009 Something strange happened this week...alien hamster nipples hijacked the giant orange and peeled bird man 67 from helicopter madness. WTF??!? Just listen. Noah's Band of the Week - Floozie, a great band we enjoyed many a long day ago. We sample songs from their 2007 album. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Niagara Falls, NY, majestic, palatial, and lovely. And full of cauldrons of boiling flesh, at the end of the road of fingers. This week we feature The Fated Grey, who join the show to discuss their project and other fine things, along with a few other gems of the Cataract City. The rest of the show is one long meltdown of chaos - and then - with a very special Name That Movie, Carl's Movie Review, The Reverend, The Giant Horse Slipper, and Gomez trying to kill Dr. Phil with a shovel. And the magic elevator. Direct download: Noahs_Ark_0072_061709_Floozie_and_Niagara_Falls_NY.mp3 Category: Noahs Ark -- posted at: 8:46 PM Comments[0] |
Thu, 11 June 2009 This week Paco, Sancho, Gomez and Chico take you on a wild ride through forests of candy, and the land of Webster. It's a diverse group of music, fitting for the show, and we do a little bit of everything as well. Noah's Band of the Week - Maridy, a folky duo from Lockport with an ambient and gentle sound. We sample four songs and hear the story of the brown toothed man, in all his wicked, terrible glory. The Stapp Infection - Who the %$#&%#$ is Drake? Well he's suing somebody. An aging rocker takes the prize by taking a spill. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Webster, NY turns out to have a wide variety of good music, from Tina Signorelli on the flute, DESTRUX, The Meddling Kids, to Falling Forward and, of course, Das Uber Space Pirates from Space. The Reverend Jerry Falwell returns and demands payment for his missed week, Buddy Nuggs and Smokey provide their weekly observations, Santiago is reeled in for the classic Ride the Mushroom Cloud by Nuclear Beachparty, and much more on the show. Thu, 4 June 2009 Pure chaos. Ladies and gentlemen, this week it's a full house and genuine craziness throughout the show with John, Ryan, Rob, and Kyle from Kennedy Carpool, along with Red Lemon and Rob Livid of Livid Lemon. We sample some tunes and the panel goes off on all manner of topics, yes, all manner. Noah's Band of the Week - The Isotopes, a groovy surf band from Rochester, brings it. Big Simpsons fans? Perhaps? The Stapp Infection - Who was it again? Forget it, somewhere in here John tells us about the jar and the horse. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Moravia, NY, home to the Moravia Powers. It's all metal, a fitting tribute to MI while on vacation. All in all, it's disgusting and riveting, a show meant to be digested slowly. Kennedy Carpool always bring it, so just sit back and enjoy. Fri, 22 May 2009 It's always a great week with Rob Livid and Red Lemon, again sequestered in the Swine Flu Bay, but still alive and well. The games are on and All WNY Radio.com is electric. We're excited. Noah's Band of the Week - Nevergreen, a killer fusion of rock and reggae, based in the Roch of Chester. J and Sara Pass join the show to tell us all about their musical adventures as siblings, along with other key pieces, forming one unique and full sound. The Stapp Infection - Pull it and hand the thing to Axle. Why? Just because. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Wayland, NY, home of Cory Daniel, who joins the show to talk of life, liberty, and the American Dream. We also sample Mattman Music, Machine Gun Etiquette, and das schebe titten polka band.

Thu, 14 May 2009 Big things are happening at All WNY Radio, and Thumb and Noah have a very special announcement. Beyond that, it's the usual insanity and chaos here at lovely and palatial DrastiClone Studios with Rob Livid and Red Lemon again sequestered in the Swine Flu Bay. Noah's Band of the Week - Universe Shark, a funky outer space blues fusion group jamming out the grooves. Adam, electric guitar player, joins the show to be relentlessly interrogated, question after question. The Stapp Infection - Bring out the statues and bulletproof vests. The dirty and itchy celebrities are again embarrassing themselves in fantastically creative ways. T.I., in a move that defines hilarity, will talk to the children about gun violence. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Hammondsport, NY, another splendid Finger Lakes region crazy town, brings it with Alan Rutter melting face, Peter, Shawn, and Luke! Buddy Nuggs and Smokey are in the fast lane this week with Observations, to the point of spontaneous combustion. Game show music and slide whistle equal success in this crazy world. Go figure. Thu, 7 May 2009 We think the Swine Flu has cleared out of DrastiClone Studios...at least for the most part. So we venture on to a life changing band from Riverside, a town built on a skin covered lighthouse, and much more. Noah's Band of the Week - TOWPATH, an insane metal, punk and death metal band based in, you guessed it, Buffalo, NY's Riverside. The music is a hardcore beast of burden, hunting you in the night. The Stapp Infection - Now that Scott Stapp and Creed are heading out on tour, the world is pretty much ending. The end is nigh. Lawsuits, divorces, death and destruction, along with the usual burning sensation. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Sodus, NY, home to the famous lighthouse and people still shaken from the dreadful and tragic British Invasion of 1813. We sample Divergence of the Sky, Techno Kittie, Jesus Christ and the Boom Boom Galactic 5 and more! Fri, 1 May 2009 It's the Swine Flu show, as DrastiClone Studios is infected with the likes of Red Lemon and Rob Livid, from Livid Lemon, and they are sick indeed. We do our best to cover this emerging epic pandemic in our own sick way. Noah's Band of the Week - The Instruments Band, a gentle acoustic folky band based in Canandaigua, NY. We talk to Ben Morey from the band about life, liberty, and the pursuit of Swine Flu. The Stapp Infection - So much has happened. Snoop Dogg is releasing extremely boring webisodes, Phil has been convicted, and the be all end all of Stapp news has arrived to end the world before Swine Flu can. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Eden, NY, home to Age of Plagues, JR Hirsch, and Uberfunk, among others. It's a wonderful palatial corner of the Universe, and we're set to explore. All this and so much more this week on the show! Hopefully we can survive until next week to continue covering Swine Flu 2009. Thu, 26 March 2009 ![]() This week it's a full house of characters, as John and Kyle from Kennedy Carpool and the Rated R Rock Star himself, Josh Smith, join and hijack the show, respectively. Noah's Band of the Week - Amanda Nagurney, a country artist located (for now) in the Buffalo area. Amanda really walks right into the buzz saw with this interview, but she's a good sport and managed to brave the wood chipper style chaotic thrashing bound to occur this week. The Stapp Infection - Eddie Bo (real name Edwin Bocage) has passed on, Billy Corgan is, yes, still a douche, and it's finally time to talk us some Phil Spector. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - The actual level of freedom in Freedom, NY is questionable, but we stumble upon a few bands that may or may not actually exist in real life. Damn you, interwebs. We've got the weather with Jerry Falwell, Buddy Nuggs, and a load of insanity with the lineup in studio this week, that eventually devolves into crank calling friends and other random people. All in all, a great week. Direct download: Noahs_Ark_0064_032509_Amanda_Nagurney_and_Freedom_NY.mp3 Category: Noahs Ark -- posted at: 6:27 PM Comments[0] |
Thu, 19 March 2009 Here in WNY the thaw has begun, the animals are restless, and so on the heavy tide the Ark is sailing strong out on the open water. This week Thumb and Noah singlehandedly disarm nuclear weapons and battle raging hordes of animals throughout the show. Noah's Band of the Week - Lemuria, a pop/punk/indie kinda outfit from the great Queen City of Buffalo, NY. We sample 4 original tracks from this fresh sounding band. The Stapp Infection - MJ sells out shows in a giant ticket reselling Ponzi scheme, or so we think. Tupac's mom is suing, Amy Winehouse proves here Stapp worthiness yet again, and finally, what do you do if you're on trial for murder and your name is murder? Change your name! Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Spencerport, NY, home to many fine artists but first among them is Johnny Bauer, who joins the show to tell us about his early years in an Elvis costume up through his present day incarnation playing guitar and singing some sweet tunes. All this and oh so mucho grande more, with Buddy, History, Carl, Jerry, and even an epic grudge match turned reunion with two wrestling legends, this week on the show. Thu, 12 March 2009 This week it's a little bit of everything complete with Billie Mays, Michael Jackson, and all of our, ahem, "friends". It's wide open this week as we recap Episode 61's amazing band of the week Kennedy Carpool and add a new band of the week to the archival scrolls with a positive message and hard work to back it up. Noah's Band of the Week - Thousands of One, a soul funk dub extravaganza with a unique sound and a strong message. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Groton, NY, home to the famous fulling mill, may never recover from the McLean incident. The Stapp Infection - The roll call of hall of fame Stappers is read and one by one they desecrate themselves in new and strange ways. All this and more with the Reverend's Weather, Buddy Nuggs' Observations, and an endless cavalcade of stars. It's another week with more great WNY music and a few cheap and bizarre laughs too. Fri, 6 March 2009 This week we are joined in studio by all 5 members of an amazing band of the week - Kennedy Carpool. These guys were amazing and made the entire show a complete chaotic mess of radio gold. We recommend listening a few times to get all the subtle flavor. Noah's Band of the Week - Kennedy Carpool. Two n's, and a heaping load of metal that will melt your face into a tiny pile of indistinguishable rubble. Check these guys out. The interview is epic and incredibly and spellbindingly awful, complete with dead baby jokes and very, very deep digging into the pysche of an amazing band. The Stapp Infection - DMX is pretty in pink. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Skaneateles. Mr. History explains the pronunciation quite clearly. We've got all this and much more with Falwell, Walken, Billie Mays, and for cryin' out loud KENNEDY CARPOOL! We'll be sure to keep in close contact with these fine gentlemen going forward. We've got a new theme and most improved set up after our studio upgrades. It's a great show all around that Thumb and Noah will burn eternally in the fires of doom for making. Enjoy! Noah's Band of the Week - New Clear Fusion, a funky funkin band from the Majestic Queen City (that's Buffalo for all you downstaters). Crazy Band from Crazy Towns - The Southern Tier is home to lovely and wondrous Frewsburg, NY. Home to our good friend Chris Bell and many bears as well as many cool bands like the Full Connor and Terminus Est who, in case you haven't heard, live in the 4th dimension of reality. We've got Vince Neil's new tequila in studio, along with the Reverend, Buddy Nuggs and his friend Smokey who has one hell of a story about attempting to fly to Amsterdam. Ouch. Thu, 19 February 2009 These days you have to watch out for the globalists...you have to watch your back America. With that in mind, we proudly announce our special new sponsor Gazprom Wonderful! With Billie Mays, they will take over the multiverse. Noah's Band of the Week - ...shot me a mallard, a, well...um, well...they are a band. A pretty dam good one at that, and their music is quite unique and dare we say, innovative. All except that final track. We're not sure what happened there. The Stapp Infection - It itches, it burns, you know the drill. Chris Brown is denyin', Ronettes are dyin', and 2009 is going to be tryin'. Another reunion is apparently in the works, making this the year of the Unholy Reunions. Crazy Band from Crazy Towns - After finally lifting our anchor from the sweet and gentle Bay of Ithaca, we make our way sadly to Waterloo. Mr. History is highly confused, but we find some cool tunes with A Morning Funeral, A Man Undone, D3VEU$, and the pendulous Pendulum Effect. Sling Blade Carl delivers his weekly Movie Review, Walken steps in to replace Falwell with the Weather Report (hopefully permanently), and Santiago even rears his ugly head this week on the show. Thu, 12 February 2009 This week it's a stripped down show with no Mr. History, Crow's Nest, or live band interview. But what you do get is some really great rockin tunes from Ithaca, NY, a fine tribute to close out our epic visit to the finest and craziest of the many crazy towns we've visited. Noah's Band of the Week - I.N.C. We sample tracks from their 1988 album, The Visitor, that you'll be sure to remember. Some bands just get lost in time, but it's a shame a great band like I.N.C. didn't make more noise. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Our final week in lovely and palatial Ithaca...and definitely one to remember. Kittens. The Stapp Infection - Something tragic happens at the Grammy's every year right? It's the nature of the event. All this and so much more. Well, not that much more. But some. So check it out. Thu, 5 February 2009 As part of our commitment to excellence here at DrastiClone Studios, we took last week off to upgrade some equipment and hardwire it to the keel. With that in mind, we hope the show will have a commensurate increase in quality with our band of the week and 7,000th return trip to wonderful and palatial Ithaca, NY. Oh yeah! Noah's Band of the Week - Maiden China, a killer grunge band from the Olean area originally. Now separated by educational endeavors, the gentlemen of Maiden China hope to regroup this summer. Dylan, drummer for the band, joins the show to talk about their direction as well as his own stylistic musical procession. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Ithaca??? It never ends, there is just so much good music in Ithaca. We sample evil city trio, kimonophobic, Dead Canaries, Travis Knapp, and many more. Always worth a listen, the Ithaca samplers are regularly excellent. We open the show with a band called Whale, check 'em out. Thumb delivers the Warcraft Minute, Falwell purges the Weather Report, Alaska Joe has breaking news on the volcano erupting in his back yard, and much much much much more falls up this week on the show! Sat, 24 January 2009 A camouflaged woodsman covered in blood wrestles with a gigantic enraged bear. At least that's what we picture when we think of our band of the week. We intro this week with a very special Name That Movie, an Obama song, and a scandalous BBC reporter caught out of breath. More? Well...you decide. Noah's Band of the Week - BEARHUNTER, part indie, rock and blues, with a diverse and engaging sound. Bassist Robert Pusateri joins the show to discuss the blood covered warrior in the forest, and a few other things. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Mr. History delivers the fifth and final chapter of his epic history of The Stapp Infection forces us to deal with celebrity resolutions, Jerry Falwell gives us the weather, Thumb delivers the Warcraft Minute and much much hoo boy whoa nelly so much more!!

Sat, 17 January 2009 This is not only an amazingly epic show, but also an affirmation of why we so enjoy featuring local music here at All WNY Radio.com. A stellar band of the week along with numerous great special guest visits makes it a well rounded Ark episode for the ages, even if it is sometimes a game show experience playing with the phone. You'll see. Noah's Band of the Week - Stemm! Local hard rock/metal gods, who are crafting an amazing career for themselves and proving to be a fine example of what makes the scene so great. They've toured nationally, become the soundtrack of the UFC, and played with bands like Damageplan, RUN-DMC, Godsmack and Slipnot, but always return to Buffalo to rock the hardest. We get to heart of their success with Alex and Steve from the band in an amazing extended interview. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - We return again to Ithaca with another batch of groovin' bands with Pat Burke, The Neighbours, D.A.M.A.G.E., and more. Mr. History lectures us further on the battle for Ithaca's soul. The Stapp Infection - Short and sweet. Have the celebretards finally cleaned up their act? Special guest the Voice of God returns to our humble studio to decide which deities we can worship in the epic battle of God vs. Dudley. Alaska Joe comes on for redemption and stays for relief, along with Pat Burke of Ithaca who joins the show in a surprise call and sheds some very interesting insight into why the Ithaca scene is so plentiful. We pile it on with Jerry Falwell, Thumb's WOW Minute, Buddy Nuggs, and Sling Blade Carl's Movie Review. All in all, it's a little bit of everything this week, just how we like it. Sat, 10 January 2009 It's a new year, and here at DrastiClone Studios we decided to ring it in with an ol' timey show. Along those lines, we open the show with The Dusty Buskers playing a song that was probably hilarious in 1847. Our past-fest continues with our band of the week and a very special version of Name That Movie. Noah's Band of the Week - The Varnish Cooks, who unfortunately are no longer actually together. However, Greg Fair and Greg Paul have continued on with a new project, Dark Holler Duo. Greg Fair joins the show to discuss the nature of American traditional music, the roots of society, and the musical progression that has led to the current incarnation. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - It's another week in Ithaca and the third installment of area bands. There's a little bit of everything this week with alien abductions, funk and waffles, and people with names that sound like sexual organs. Tee hee. The Stapp Infection - A lot of people died over the holidays. Always a fun segment when that happens. Jerry Falwell uses the Weather Report to blatantly spread his agenda, Alaska Joe gives us his view from frosty north, and Buddy Nuggs gives us his view from his own cloudy mind. All this and much more this week. Direct download: Noahs_Ark_0054_The_Varnish_Cooks_and_Ithaca_NY_Part_III.mp3 Category: Noahs Ark -- posted at: 3:47 PM Comments[0] |
Fri, 19 December 2008 It's our last show for 2008, so we make it extra special, beginning with the intro song "The Ballad of Belsnickel", an epic Christmas song we guarantee isn't like the rest. Tom and Gary of our band of the week happen to call in as soon as we start the show and subsequently are subjected to a Buffalo Bills song to end the curse of this season. Noah's Band of the Week - Zero Nerve Response, a grunge rock band from the Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Part II of the epic saga known as The Stapp Infection - A holiday gift, the disease is light on us this week with GNR suing and message board posting. All this and much more with a special appearance by George W. Bush, the Weather with Jerry Falwell, the World of Warcraft minute, Sling Blade Carl's Movie Review, Buddy Nuggs Observations, and a heap of insanity this week on the show. Sat, 13 December 2008 As always during our weekly treks with local music and entertainment, there are always surprises. The show brings in the Name That Movie contest, TI for a little motivational talk, and Rush Limbaugh for a political reckoning. All in all, it's a holiday smorgasbord to keep you warm in these chilly winter months.
Noah's Band of the Week - Tiger Cried Beef, a surf and psychedelic pop group with a unique twisted rock sound and a complex array of tunes.
Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Part I of the epic saga known as
The Stapp Infection - A strange coincidence between Coldplay and Satriani, lawyers abound. DMX back in the news again??
All this and much more with Jerry Falwell, Sling Blade Carl's Movie Review, and a heap of insanity this week on the show. Sat, 6 December 2008 This week we are joined by a killer band for a great interview. We heard Dubtide first last week, as part of our feature of Fair Haven. We were intrigued and had to hear more, and ended up having most of the band on the show for some good talk and fun, definitely worth a listen just like their tunes, of which we sample a handful.
Noah’s Band of the Week – Dubtide, a reggae, rock and indie outfit from the
Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns –
The Stapp Infection – Terrorists have forced the cancellation of Live Earth, Thumb begins his new feature One Word Album Reviews with his take on Chinese Democracy and Britney’s new album, and the rumors are getting serious. We are forced to make plans for the end times…a Creed reunion.
All this and much more insanity with Jerry Falwell, Buddy Nuggs, slide whistle and more this week on the show. And please send your questions for our new feature "ASK MAMA THUMB!" Sun, 30 November 2008 This week, due to the conspicuous absence of Josh Smith, who in true Banian fashion was to split the show this week, we have no band of the week. Instead we resort to playing some great local favorites pulled mostly at random for you to enjoy, and it ends up being a great mix. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Fair Haven, NY. In this town in the ancient times some tragic events turned the region upside down, according to our expert Mr. History. But some great bands survived and we sample them. It's a unique mix from the shores of The Stapp Infection - It's a gruesome group this week, with Gene Simmons’ comments on the industry, Michael Jackson struggling with his facial surgeries, and testimony regarding Boy George chaining a naked man to the wall and beating him mercilessly. All this and much more insanity this week on the show. Comments[0] |

The Reign of Dudley having arrived, it made sense this week to feature The Reign of Kindo. But there are always surprises. And sometimes, there are voicemails involving some of the thousands of highly paid actors aboard the ship...er, Noah's Band of the Week - The Reign of Crazy Band from Crazy Towns - The Stapp Infection - Michael Jackson is off scamming sheiks out of millions of dollars. We invite MJ aboard to explain himself. All this and more THIS WEEK ON NOAH'S Please send your questions for our new feature "ASK MAMA THUMB!" Fri, 14 November 2008 So, there was this idea to do a split show with Josh Smith, host of "The Way Up" on thinktwiceradio.com, a while back. Unfortunately we determined that it would be too difficult to transport our thousands of writers and technicians to a remote studio without more planning. So to open the show, Josh Smith calls Noah and Thumb, apparently in denial about the refusal to do his show. He wasn't too happy and ended up irate when he discovered we have some special new hot keys. Noah's Band of the Week - Controlin Death. This band has inspired, horrified and shocked us ever since we ventured to the crazy town Hilton. (Note: The Noah's Ark Program does not endorse or share any of the views expressed by this band. In fact we probably should've listened to it all the way through before playing it.) Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - In Elma, NY, there are strange goblins of all sorts, from Elvis impersonators to polka to straight up rock. We sample a few of them and vow to return for more next week. The Stapp Infection - A tour of love emerges again, death is flushed, people are sued. All in all it itches. And it burns. And the Creed reunion rumors are getting loud. Direct download: Noahs_Ark_0048_111208_Controlin_Death_and_Elma_NY.mp3 Category: Noahs Ark -- posted at: 8:38 PM Comments[1] |
Sat, 8 November 2008 If Led Zeppelin goes on tour without Robert Plant, a chain of events will be unleashed that will inevitably result in the end of the world as we know it, aka, a Creed reunion. Ladies and gents, if this comes to pass, all that is right in the world becomes wrong, black becomes white, Amy Winehouse goes to rehab, and then the Jackson 5 follow suit and go on tour. We are very, very afraid. Noah's Band of the Week - Mother Red, a rockin psychedelic band with marshy swampy guitars and thick and heavy vocals dominating there unique and varied sound. Download their album at stampederecords.us, if you are so inclined. Crazy Band from Crazy Towns - We travel this week to the lovely and palatial, although sinister, The Stapp Infection - Deaths and destruction, a sad but consistent week of the Infection. On the slow weeks where bunches of people die, we usually check in with a Hall of Famer. To our horror, the legendary MJ is in the headlines, another signal the end times are upon us, as mentioned above. Also this week, Jerry Falwell gives us the weather, Sling Blade Carl is back with a B-movie review, Buddy Nuggs observes the multiverse, in addition to steaming mounds of chaos that we deliver each week on the All WNY Radio podcast network. Sun, 2 November 2008 Noah's Band of the Week - Last Conservative, a rock/indie band based in Buffalo. TJ Zindle, founding member and primary songwriter, joins the show while on a trip to the airport to tell us about the music. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Henrietta, NY, site of the infamous Pulteney Revolution and resulting bloodbath. We check out The Hi-Risers, Sakes Alive!!, Heavy Hearted, Taran, and, of course, the ultra-heavy Axe of Death. The Stapp Infection - It's another leg of the drooling parade of morons making headlines in the music industry. Who comes out alive this week? All this and much more on the show this week with a special conclusion to Senator John McCain's theme song problem, Jerry Falwell with the weather, Tredd calling in to make a special announcement, an expired warranty, and much, much more. Fri, 24 October 2008 Ladies and gentlemen it is getting cold here in WNY. What other excuse could there be for doing multiple shots when you are about to host a radio show? Hmmm...well Noah remembers some parts of this show, and thank goodness the rest is here, for the record. Enjoy. Noah's Band of the Week - Sleeping Giant and the Word of the Day, a killer jam/dub/reggae band from the Rochester area with a mission to enlighten and empower the masses with their own collective energy. Aaron from SG joins the show to discuss the energy, the music, and many other interesting topics, like yelling obscenities at old people and getting to third base with a first cousin. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Fulton, NY, home to some great bands and the Fulton Knifeworks, which Mr. History was very excited to illuminate for us the years and years of testing that took place there...on the immigrants...and their innards...in the cycle of pain. We had all this fun and much more including, but not limited to, the Weather with Jerry Falwell, Buddy Nuggs and his new buddy Smokey, and a very special appearance from Senator John McCain. Fri, 17 October 2008 The intro is, well, quite disturbing this week. But there's a method to our madness, kind of, and that is the beauty of completely free, unhindered and uninhibited radio. Noah's Band of the Week - Titanium Black. I think Thumb pretty much says it all. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - Attica, NY, home to the infamous Attic Prison Riot of the early '70s. Mr. History has much to say about this and we check out some actual audio. Oh yeah and there's some bands there too. The Stapp Infection - Stapp Obits, Stapp Legal, and Stapp Stapp. There you have it, and our winner is just a whiny douchebag. TI swings by the studio for an interview and for most of it makes no sense at all, preferring to kill everything in site as the studio becomes an all out war zone. Falwell gives us the weather and Carl's movie review is, well, disturbing as promised. Fri, 26 September 2008 We've gone to a numbering system. After all, we are professionals, folks. This is Noah's Noah's Band of the Week - Son of the Sun, a killer band from the Niagara Falls area who graced us not only with one great interview, but also with an amazing, live, in studio performance. Check these guys out at myspace.com/sonofthesunmusic. And buy the 7" EP, available now! Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - This week we travel to The Scott Stapp Infection - It's a rapid fire and devilishly itchy take on this week's headlines, from DMX (again) to Clay Aiken (big surprise) and Earl Palmer (flush). You don't know Earl Palmer? Oh you will. No mention of Britney or Amy Winehouse, can you believe it??? Also climbing aboard this week, Jerry Falwell with the weather, Buddy Nuggs with his patented "If I can't remember it, you must acquit" defense, and much more insanity, hilarity, and chaotic meltdowns of all your favorite friends, here on the All WNY Radio podcast network. Sat, 20 September 2008 The Large Hadron Collider is alive, and so is the Noah's Band of the Week - Auld Lang Syne, a folk rock ensemble from the Oswego area. We are joined by front man and founding member Tim Dick, who gives us the roots of the powerful stage show and building driving songs, along with some inevitable inappropriate questions. Obvious? Yes. But tasty nonetheless. We enjoy some great tunes of this eclectic and varied sound. The Scott Stapp Infection - Another week and another disgrace. The question arose as Thumb and Noah pondered the show this week, can we hot key the Star Spangled Banner? The answer: of course we can. Especially with Stapp murdering it. God Bless Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - All this and more comes your way again this week on NOAH'S Direct download: Noahs_Ark_091708_Auld_Lang_Syne_and_Owego_NY.mp3 Category: Noahs Ark -- posted at: 5:44 PM Comments[0] |
Wed, 10 September 2008 This week we sort through the confusion of Oswego and Owego. John McCain unbelievably joins the show yet again. We check in with P Diddy's blogs.
Noah's Band of the Week - The Spelunkers, from Owego, NY. Or was it Oswego? No. It was Owego.
Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - This week we travel to lovely and palatial Oswego, NY, near the border of WNY, across which we shan't ever traverse. Direct download: Noahs_Ark_090308_The_Spelunkers_and_Oswego_NY.mp3 Category: Noahs Ark -- posted at: 7:55 PM Comments[0] |
Wed, 27 August 2008 Noah's Band of the Week - TRIGLACTAGON, a group of wacked out space aliens from Rochester treat us to a few gooey tunes we shall never forget. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - As if Macedon wasn't enough, we pull in Walworth to round out the endeavor. Mr. History tells us about the early settlers of the region and their dark but predictable fate. The Stapp Infection - DMX simply can't win every week. So we veture outward to see what other scumbags of the music industry are up to. And we check in with DMX cussing at a judge. Classy! Jerry Falwell joins the show to provide the weather, we go over the list of the 23 Most Annoying Frontmen, and we are joined by Senator John McCain to discuss his presidential aspirations, in addition to many other special guests and insanity. Wed, 20 August 2008 Noah's Band of the Week - Buffalo outfit The Manics, the first ever two time Band of the Week, has released a new album with great success at the Town Ballroom. Pat from The Manics joins us to talk about music, life, love, and inappropriate questions. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - After Noah had a great time playing a festival in the area, he decided to feature lovely and palatial Alfred, NY, home to Alfred State, Alfred U, and, of course, P.S.E. Mr. History tells us about the epic battle between the humans and the wolf-thers. The Stapp Infection - Consensus worst front man of all time, Scott Stapp, is "honored" again by our presentation of this prestigious award to the dirtiest musician of the week. And oh boy, does it ever get dirty this week. Irv! Also on the show this week, Carl's Movie Reviews (still going from last week), Rush pops one out, and various other insanity takes place. Enjoy!!! Wed, 6 August 2008 Noah's Band of the Week - The Apologies join us in studio for a great interview and an Ark first, a live in studio acoustic jam, not to disappoint. The surprise guests were in evidence throughout the show, Richard Simmons was everywhere, even Stapp made an appearance. The Stapp Infection - Courtney Love is offensive, Beatles tapes cause frustration and Amy and Brit are back with a vengeance. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - The anchor is dropped in Hemlock, NY, where we learn the brutal history of the The Livonia Confict and hear some great tunes from local bands. Wed, 23 July 2008 Tom, from The Apologies, called and left a voicemail about House Party XI. We decided the best way to deliver a response would be to call him during the show. Tom made the mistake of picking up his phone. An hour and a half later, and after many memorable experiences, we said goodbye to Tom, an instant legend of the Noah's Ark program, and a welcome guest anytime on All WNY Radio. Noah's Band of the Week - The Po'Boys - A group of focused tromboners, playing fusiony blues and jazz with plenty of brass. Tom seemed to enjoy them. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - This week the anchor was dropped in lovely and palatial Newfane, NY. Newfane also means "New Church" according to Mr. History, among other things. The Stapp Infection - DMX arrested yet again...Britney sadly back in the headlines, and our winner is the kind of dirtbag we've had our eye on for a long time. Crazy Bands from Crazy Towns - This week we scurry on down the 219 to hit up the great Springville, NY, a seriously crazy ass town. Wed, 9 January 2008 Noah and Thumb get started late due to sound card issues. But once they got rolling, it was good. Paradyme was in studio ... as was The Voice of God and Dan Cooper. Photo's from the show (and previous shows) can be found here. Comments[0] |

Wed, 26 December 2007 The boys spend a second week in Horseheads. They have some broadcasting issues, do a super-speedy Stapp Award, and VOG complains about a band from Lockport. Get yer Noah's Ark photos here. Comments[0] |

Wed, 12 December 2007 Noah and Thumb and the crew of the Ark went to Nunda, where they checked out the music scene. A band named SMACKDAB was the band of the week (they're from Jamestown). Lots of happy banter thanks to Noah's overwhelming wine consumption. Plus Thumb and the Voice of God relentlessly mock Noah for his 'stache. Click here for pictures from Noah's Ark ... Comments[0] |

Wed, 17 October 2007 The Ark welcomed The Gravity Thieves on board. Scott, Ryan, and Adam (and Christine) talked with Noah and Thumb for about an hour and a half. Unfortunately ... Thumb forgot to record the show ... until their was about 8 minutes left. So what we have on the podcast here is Noah going crazy at the end of the show. I gaurantee that what's here is worth listening to. Comments[0] |
Wed, 10 October 2007 Noah and Thumb have what they consider to be thier best episode ever. The show, broadcast live on All WNY Radio, included a traffic report on account of a T-Bone right in front of Empire Studios, home to All WNY Radio's studio. Comments[0] |
